“Well I did it! I bit the bullet and bought the pinnacle of Shoei helmets the X-spirit 2 and I love it, my last helmet was a Shoei XR-1000 and that did me for 5 years so I wanted to carry on the Shoei trend and I’m glad I did. I took the trip to the Hein Gericke store in Manchester store to try one on and instantly it felt a perfect fit and even now a few months later it’s still nice and snug - just the way it should be. The increased vision from the new visor is far better than my previous helmet (not that it was bad at all) and also with the new pin lock insert I have incredible vision and a fog free visor, not to mention the amount of ventilation I get when all the vents are open, which have been perfect when pushing hard on hot track days.”

Nikwax Leather Restorer 300ml

“I thought it was about time I tried to revive my boots using the Nikwax products, firstly the Nikwax Leather Cleaner using it with a soft nylon brush to get into the stitching and detailing in the leather I gave the boots a good spray and scrub then rinsed with water - straight away I could see the results. The down side to having boots with white and using them all the time is that they get grubby, but the Nikwax Leather Cleaner brought them up like new. After cleaning them I also tried the Nikwax Leather Restorer to feed my boots leather to keep them supple and to add some water repellency (didn’t matter so much in this case as they are my summer boots), applied the same as the cleaner and gave the product a few minutes to soak in and gave it a rinse with water, once dried I put them on and couldn’t believe how soft they were and how much easier it was to walk about, something I should of done when I bought them which I will now do in the future.”

HG Sports Leather X-Trafit GTX Gloves

“It was time for some new gloves, but I wanted something that had great protection, was waterproof and something that I could use during the days were my summer gloves weren’t quite enough and my winter gloves were just too much, so I opted for the HG Sports Leather X-Trafit GTX Gloves, they were instantly comfortable with them having really soft supple leather they have the Gore-tex membrane to keep my hands dry on days where you get caught out and they nowhere near as bulky as my winter gloves with them having the X-Trafit Technology, an advantage to them not being as bulky they still give me great feel through the handle bars and I even use them on track days on the cooler/wetter days but feel 100% confident I have gloves that offer the protection I need with the hard PU on the knuckles and extra leather padding on the palm and cuffs just on the off chance I decide to have a spill on track.”
